These addictive spiced walnuts are coated in a warm blend of spices then oven toasted. Make this recipe for delicious spicy roasted walnuts for a healthy snack!
These nuts are fantastic for parties, afternoon snacks and game day eats.
Did you know that more than 99% of the walnuts in U.S. are grown in the fertile soils of California’s Central Valley. Internationally, California walnuts supply three-quarters of the world’s walnut trade. Pretty amazing!
Spiced walnuts
With only 6 ingredients added to season the California walnuts, the nuts still shine through in flavor.
I mixed up some of my favorite ingredients like soy sauce, Tabasco, curry powder and butter to coat the walnut before toasting in the oven. The aroma that fills the kitchen is wonderful.
Needless to say, nuts are a healthy snack, and the spiced walnuts are a favorite. They’re so delicious!
How to store roasted nuts
Store your spiced walnuts in an airtight container can keep them on hand for parties, snacking and sprinkling on salads.

I just put a batch in the oven, not a big curry fan so I just substituted some garlic powder, cumin, and another tbsp of Texas Pete’s (the hot sauce I use).
Excellent, let me know how it turns out. The curry is fantastic in this and I highly recommend you give it a try. All the flavor create one amazing one Greg. 🙂
Making these right now and my house smells amazing. Making the batch for home and not a party (at least this time). How long will the last in the air tight container?
They don’t usually last long in my house! I am so glad you are enjoying them!
These are delicious! I wanted a sweet snack and a savoury snack on hand in the house so I made maple glazed walnuts and these walnuts…just perfect! Thank you for the recipe.
Great! I love them this time of year!
I have these in the oven right now. They smell so good, I can hardly wait!
Isn’t the aroma fantastic? I love these!
Wow! This must be a great combination. Tbh, I love and know how nutritional the walnuts are but cannot eat them without mixing with others food. I cannot wait to try this recipe!

These are just fantastic and pecans work just as good. Thanks for stopping by Natalie!
I am making these right now. Only thing I had to buy was walnuts! That made 90% of my decision haha.
This made me laugh, thanks Kevin! Didn’t your kitchen smell amazing while they were in the oven? 🙂
This looks great, Kevin!
These are a good healthy addiction for me. Thanks Adrian!
Can you substitute other nuts…pecans, almonds, etc.?
Most definitely Carol, suit your taste and have a wonderful holiday!
I saw curry powder and was sold. These sound so good! I’m afraid if I make them I may just eat them all though….
I think you will really enjoy these, the aroma is off the hook good, too Danielle! Adjust the heat as you like, too. Cheers!
Hey Kevin! I love nuts of all kinds and these are going on my holiday apps menu! These would also make a great foodie gift! I can see how these could be very addictive!
I could not stop eating these and made another batch at the end of the week. I need to learn moderation Dorothy. 🙂
