Thick, tangy and creamy describe my Blue Cheese Dip! Loaded with chunks of bold, blue cheese crumbles, this is perfect for dipping chicken wings or sliced vegetables.

small bowl of blue cheese dip with wings

A classic dip for when serving up chicken wings. I always serve this alongside my Baked Chicken Wings and if you want the complete party food snack, wings covered in a lip smacking Buffalo Wing Sauce!

What is in Blue Cheese Dip?

  • sour cream
  • bleu cheese crumbles
  • Greek yogurt, plain
  • milk
  • garlic powder
  • celery salt

There are a lot of recipes out there that include mayonnaise, but I like to use Greek yogurt instead and the tang from that also means you don’t have to thin it down with added lemon juice.

The creamy coolness from the dip is perfect to balance the heat from Buffalo Sauce covered wings.

I slice up sticks of celery and carrots too.

It’s all about texture, flavors and balance.

The pungent blue cheese crumbles are perfect in this cool, smooth dipping sauce. The tangy sour cream and Greek yogurt lend a great consistency and flavor while the blue cheese is the perfect foil to balance out the sauce.

Blue cheese is like cilantro, some people love it or hate. It has a salty, sharp flavor with a pungent aroma and is completely safe to eat.

This blue cheese dip with Greek yogurt is my go to for dipping hot wings!
