Gramma's Easy Apple Crisp

This has to be the easiest apple crisp recipe! Made using peeled Granny Smith apples, this has a crunchy, buttery cinnamon topping using basic pantry items.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 8 Granny Smith apples
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400˚F.
  • Peel, core and slice the apples into bite size pieces. Place in a greased 13"x9" baking pan or stone.
  • In a mixing bowl beat the flour, sugar, oats, egg, baking powder and vanilla until it becomes a crumbled mixture.
  • Sprinkle this mixture over the apples, not covering completely, leaving breathing pockets here and there.
  • Melt the butter, drizzle over the top and sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake for 40 minutes.
