Grilled Salmon with Avocado Salsa

  • 4 6-oz. skin-on salmon fillets
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or cooking spray
  • salt
  • black pepper

Avocado Salsa

  • 2 avocados seeded and cubed
  • 1 mango seeded and cubed
  • 1/2 small red onion diced
  • 1 serrano chile
  • 1/3 cup cilantro chopped
  • 2 limes juiced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • salt
  • black pepper


  • Preheat BBQ grill to 450°F.
  • In a bowl whisk together the oil, lime juice and season with salt and pepper. Add the avocado, mangoes, onion, serrano chili and cilantro. Toss to coat and set aside.
  • Rub olive oil or cooking spray on both sides of salmon filets and sprinkle with kosher salt and black pepper.
  • Clean grill or heat grill pan. Place salmon skin side down and grill 3 minutes per side. Salmon should look opaque and cooked through. Remove from grill and let rest a minute or two.
  • Serve grilled salmon topped with mango avocado salsa and lime slices (optional).
