Beyond easy to make these ridiculously tasty bites of crispy, golden brown tator tots are wrapped with bacon flavor of choice and baked to a crunchy finish. While I love a maple or pepper bacon (shout out to Loveless Cafe!) a cajun spiced works well here, too.

What better way to serve it up than with some of my fresh, Homemade Buttermilk Ranch Dressing. Made with buttermilk, fresh herbs, lemon and some pantry items, this is way better than store bought ranch dressing. I’ve made it now with sour cream and Greek yogurt and can’t decide which version I like better… you decide.

It doesn’t get any easier. Now wrap that bacon around each tot and bake. It’s as easy as that.

  1. Who would have thought that tater tots had room for improvement? This is next level! A bowl of these for dinner would do me just fine.

    1. These are quite outstanding John, although your provoleta I saw this morning on IG has me drooling too!

  2. What a beautiful post. Seriously, it doesn’t get any better than crispy potatoes, bacon and ranch– except for when you can eat them all in one bite. Cannot wait to try these!

  3. Oh yeah! Now this sounds like my kind of deliciousness, Kevin. Laura and I often splurge and eat tots on New Year’s Eve, but we’ve never wrapped them in bacon. This definitely needs to happen…these would be perfect for the Super Bowl!

  4. They look so crunchy and delicious – would love to have a bowl of these beautiful bacon wrapped tots right now, dipping them into that lovely buttermilk dressing! Great little snacks for guests too!

    1. Thanks Miriam, these little bacon wrapped tots are so good and you’ll find yourself not wanting to share (said I who ate half the batch!). 🙂

There are a few things in this world that just make life BETTER, and tater tots, bacon and ranch are three of them. So you can imagine how I feel about this trifecta in ONE, Kevin! DROOL-FEST! Seriously. I’m going to have to bust out my stretchy pants, because I NEED to devour an entire tray of these bad boys!! Cheers, buddy!

    1. I’m with you, I snacked on most of these before photographing them and Dave came home with a friend and I made another batch. Just to be sure they were just as good of course! Cheers!

  7. Kevin you got me at homemade ranch!! I love tater tots but never had them with bacon!! This whole combination sounds so addicting – a perfect food while watching tv!

    1. Oh you MUST try these Ami. Absolutely my new addiction, so I need some moderation. I almost snacked on most of them for the photo shoot and needed to make some more! 😉

  8. Woo hoo! Talk about indulgent, Kevin! I’d be poppin’ those little bite sized beauties like there’s no tomorrow, lol 😀 It has been forever since I’ve had tater tots. I literally can’t even remember the last time, really and now is an excuse to try ’em again. This would be perfect on Friday night with a nice cold beer and ranch happens to be one of my favourite dressings! Pinning! Gorgeous pics, as usual, by the way 😉

    1. Well, since the weekends are game day filled everyone needs a little snacky, right? LOL, I absolutely love these and could eat a tray myself! Thank you Dawn. 🙂
